Meet Dan Ridley – A Dynamic Automotive Expert & Accomplished Business Owner
Dan Ridley’s Rapid Tune journey began in 2012, when he started as a junior first-year apprentice at Rapid Tune Kilsyth. Dan’s exceptional work ethic and mechanical aptitude were quickly recognised, seeing him take on the role of Head Mechanic in record time.
With a passion for both mechanics and business, Dan set his sights on entrepreneurship early in his career. In 2016, he took the leap and purchased Rapid Tune Kilsyth, proving his dedication, ambition, and drive to become one of Rapid Tune’s foremost business operators. The leadership and commitment to excellence were important in Dan’s recognition in 2022 when Rapid Tune Kilsyth was awarded Shop of the Year, a testament to his hard work and vision.
Always looking for growth opportunities, Dan expanded his portfolio in September 2023, acquiring Rapid Tune Lilydale and stepping into multi-store ownership. By December 2024, he made the strategic decision to pass the Kilsyth location to a new owner and focus his energy entirely on developing and growing Rapid Tune Lilydale.
Beyond his success as a business owner, Dan is a highly skilled mechanic, fabricator, and competitive drift car builder. His passion for high-performance vehicles extends to the track, where he competes in drift competitions at a semi-professional level.
Dan’s leadership, extensive automotive knowledge, and infectious personality make him an invaluable mentor to his team. A hands-on approach and friendly demeanor create a positive and engaging work environment, helping Dan foster a team of skilled, motivated professionals.
